goodpr. founder, Calvin Fleming, began working in the LGBTQ+ community when he served as a PR manager on the AIDS Rides events, including the California AIDS Ride, the Heartland AIDS Ride Northeast AIDS Ride and the Washington D.C. AIDS Ride.
He continues to work in the LGBTQ+ community with a focus on public health campaigns that reach LGBTQ+ people of color, with a focus on HIV prevention (including PrEP outreach campaigns for the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health).

Since 2014, goodpr. has managed Nissan’s community partnerships for Pride festivals and LGBTQ+ community events across the U.S. Alongside Nissan’s advertising and activation teams, goodpr. has managed sponsorships and activations for Pride events in key markets including Atlanta, Austin, Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, Columbus, Denver, Houston, Long Beach, Los Angeles, Miami, Middletown, Minneapolis (Twin Cities), Nashville, New York, Orlando, Palm Springs, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Pittsburgh, Sacramento, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, St. Louis, Tampa, Virginia Pride, Washington D.C. and Winston-Salem.
When COVID-19 impacted live events, goodpr. pivoted to managing virtual Pride events for Nissan.
Virtual Event Sponsorship Management: Clean Energy + Climate Change
In 2020, goodpr. also began working with Southern California Edison’s external engagement team to manage sponsorships and speaking opportunities on clean energy and climate change relevant events. The virtual event management included high-level sponsorships for such events as Climate Week NYC, The Climate Registry, Atlantic Council Veterans Energy Week, Coolest in LA, GreenBiz’s Verge, Reuters’ Energy Transition North America, SEPA Grid Evolution Summit, among others.
